Candi Rawdon Thomson

Candi Rawdon Thomson was raised in Watertown and graduated from South Dakota State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology with minors in Criminal Justice and Spanish. Candi completed an internship at Morman Law Firm in Sturgis between her second and third years in law school and graduated from the University of South Dakota in 1998. Candi returned to the Morman Law Firm where she practiced law for the next 15 years gaining experience in a variety of practice areas.Candi was Director of Operations and In-house counsel for Pennington Title Company for three yearsbefore starting Thomson Law, PC.

The Thomson family spends most summer weekends at the motocross tracks. Candi’s husband Chris and sons, Tegun and Tyzer enjoy racing motocross. Candi has been team mom for the Sturgis Buccaneers Black Hills Youth Football team for several years while Chris coached. Tyler is anxious to move onto Scooper Football next year as a seventh grader; while Tegun will play for the Scoopers as a junior.

Denise

Paralegal

Denise has over 20 years of experience in transactional law, estate planning, and probate. Her career began in 1995 at the Morman Law Firm, where she worked with Keith R. Smit and Dale L. Morman. After a little break from the legal field working in the title industry Denise returned to work as a paralegal for Thomson Law.

Denise earned her Professional Paralegal certification from NALS….. the association for legal professionals in 2010.

Denise grew up in Sturgis and continues to call Sturgis home. When not working, Denise enjoys spending time with her husband, her four grown children, her grandson, and her two dogs.
