Candi Rawdon Thomson

Attorney
Candi is originally from Watertown, South Dakota and has lived in Sturgis since 1998.  She practiced law with the Morman Law Firm until 2014, at which time she became in-house legal counsel at Pennington Title.  Candi started Thomson Law, PC in 2016 and enjoys working with residents of Sturgis, Meade County and the surrounding Black Hills area. Candi has focused her practice in the areas of estate planning, probate and trust administration, real estate transactions and business formation.  Early in her career, Candi was fortunate to have Keith Smit as a mentor, and she later shared an office with Dale Hansen.  Keith and Dale were exceptional attorneys who generously shared their many years of experience and wisdom.  Candi takes pride in continuing to provide the community with respected, professional legal services. Candi is a graduate of South Dakota State University earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology with minors in Criminal Justice and Spanish, and of the University of South Dakota School of Law

Denise Shuck

Paralegal

Denise has over 25 years of experience in transactional law, estate planning, and probate. Her career began in 1995 at the Morman Law Firm, where she worked with Keith R. Smit and Dale L. Morman. After a little break from the legal field working in the title industry, Denise returned to work as a paralegal for Thomson Law in 2017.
Denise grew up in Sturgis and continues to call Sturgis home. When not working, Denise enjoys spending time with her husband, her four grown children, her grandchildren, and her two dogs.

Anita Olson

Paralegal

Anita grew up in Sturgis and graduated from Sturgis Brown High School.  She earned her paralegal degree from National American University, Rapid City, South Dakota.  Anita began her professional career with Thomson Law in 2020.

Anita calls Vale, South Dakota home.  When she is not working, Anita enjoys camping, side by siding and spending time with her family, friends and especially her grandson.
